Internet Access Issues Temporarily Affecting Court Applications

The San Diego Superior Court is aware of Internet access issues that are also impacting all public facing applications, including the Court Index, Odyssey eFiling, and the Court's Registers of Actions. Our IT Department is actively working with our network vendor to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Traffic Court Reminder Notices for Drivers Licenses Expiring in 2030

Notices for Traffic Citations Issued to Motorists with a California Driver License Expiring in 2030 May Not Include Traffic Violator School Eligibility

Traffic Court Reminder Notices for a limited number of individuals may have inaccurately omitted traffic violator school eligibility information due to a system error in the court’s case management system. Potentially affected individuals include those who (1) received a traffic citation, (2) have a California Driver License expiring in 2030, and (3) were not notified they are eligible for traffic violator school in their Traffic Court Reminder Notice. Some of these individuals may in fact be eligible for traffic violator school.

San Diego Superior Court Closed for Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19

The San Diego Superior Court will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in observance of the courtwide holiday commemorating Juneteenth.

The public is urged to visit the Court’s website at sdcourt.ca.gov to handle traffic tickets or obtain court information.

San Diego Superior Court Warns Public about Scams

The San Diego Superior Court has received complaints about individuals trying to scam members of the public by pretending to be court officers or officials.

In the most recent example, individuals have received text messages stating that there are overdue Traffic Court fees in their name and if they do not pay the fees in a certain manner, additional action will be taken.

Scammers can be sophisticated and convincing, frequently changing their tactics. Past scams have included jury duty or warrants.

Veterans Treatment Court Receives San Diego County Bar Association Award Recognizing Invaluable Contributions from Volunteer Mentors

Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) mentors were honored with the San Diego County Bar Association’s Distinguished Organization Award at their annual ceremony earlier this month. The award recognizes the network of volunteer mentors, all veterans, who connect with VTC participants to support and guide them as they navigate the treatment and criminal justice systems.
