San Diego Superior Court Introduces Online Tool to Help People with Infractions Reduce Ticket Costs and Set Up Payment Plans
Traffic Court defendants can make requests online via the MyCitations program based on their ability to pay
The San Diego Superior Court has launched the MyCitations program, an online tool developed by the Judicial Council of California. The tool allows people in eligible infraction cases to look up their citation online, answer a series of simple questions, and submit a request to the court for a possible reduction in the amount owed based on their financial situation. Requests for payment plans, more time to pay, or community service in lieu of a fine can also be submitted via MyCitations.
This user-friendly online option allows the public to make requests without the need to appear in court. The MyCitations tool can be found at MyCitations.courts.ca.gov.
For information about additional payment relief options, see the Payment Options and Financial Hardship Information page on the court’s website or refer to sdcourt.ca.gov/Traffic.
